Apologies for the infrequency of posts lately. I have been coming up short with inspiring spaces and objects which is why I was immediately struck by a new project by Henry Wilson, currently displayed in Antwerp's Valerie Traan Gallery. The
Factory Lamp (hack) is a rare example of something so frustratingly simple and beautiful that I find myself both in awe and resentful that I wasn't behind it. A classic task lamp, retrofitted with a blown glass shade and a low-profile LED light source. In Wilson's word; "It emphasizes the intricate engineering and restrained delicacy of the original design." There is indeed something perfect in the transparency of the glass paired with the functionality of the armature. Sign me up.
